Family & Community Outreach Action Team
Lead: Liz Cooksey
Ensure families and organizations are aware of, and connected to, available resources. This includes developing messaging materials, outreach campaigns, training, events and other methods for connecting with families about resources, supports, and child development.
The Family & Community Outreach Action Team hosts two community-wide outreach events each year. Learn more about the Help Me Grow Skagit Resource Fairs below!

Help Me Grow Skagit partners with the Children’s Museum and Skagit Valley YMCA to share resources and supports available to families in Skagit County.
Family-serving organizations come together twice per year, in April and November, to share information about supports and resources available in Skagit County. There is no costs to participate in this fun event.
Healthy Kids Day
The Skagit Valley Family YMCA is hosts Healthy Kids Day each spring. Help Me Grow Skagit partners during the event to host community resource tables.

On Healthy Kids Day, children and families have the opportunity to learn about the importance of healthy eating; nutrition and physical activity; mental and emotional well-being; and developing healthy habits. It serves as a great place to inspire kids to get active while teaching families how to develop routines that support mental and physical health at home.
If you represent a family serving organization, and would like to host a table at the event, stay tuned for registration information coming in the fall.
