Section 2: UW Haring Center for Inclusion Offerings- Social and Emotional Learning for Preschool Children:
Supporting Social and Emotional Learning for Preschoolers: Building a Foundation through Embedded Instruction
Wednesday, March 10 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Supporting the social and emotional development of young children is one of the most important parts of a high-quality early childhood education. This training will focus on strategies for providing social and emotional instruction for young children, with an emphasis on embedded instruction.
Social and Emotional Support for Preschoolers: Targeting Specific Skills
Wednesday, March 24 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
This training builds upon the content in the March 10th training, Supporting Social and Emotional Learning for Preschoolers: Building a Foundation through Embedded Instruction, however it is not a prerequisite (e.g., participants do not need to have attended the March 10th training to attend this session — all are welcome!). This training will focus on strategies for providing social and emotional instruction for young children who need individualized or more intensive support with behavior.
