Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

The Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (IECMHC) will work in partnership with the rest of the Quality Child Care team, the Early Achiever (EA) Coaches and Child Care Aware of NWWA.  Primary duties include providing on-site Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (IECMHC) services in selected licensed childcare sites (centers and/or FCC) providing resources and guidance to build the capacity of regional EA Coaches to support teachers/providers with children’s challenging behaviors and to prevent expulsion of children from child care and early learning settings.

The MHCL will engage with early learning and behavioral health partners to: build connections and establish regional referral options for children, families and providers; identify regional strengths/opportunities and service gaps/barriers; and engage with other MHCs including Infant Toddler Consultants, Play and Learn settings and Head Start/ECEAP settings throughout the five county NW Region and Opportunity Council’s Early Learning and Family Services Department to work towards the long term goal of a coordinated approach in IECMHC.

Salary Range: $25..44 – $31.80
