$2 Million in Equity Relief Funds for Nonprofits Now Available — Application deadline 11/6
Philanthropy Northwest and the Washington State Department of Commerce have opened applications for $2 million in CARES Act relief funding focused exclusively on equity in Washington State.
The WA Equity Relief Fund for Nonprofits will provide flexible, general operating support to nonprofits that are led by and serve BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities most impacted by the global pandemic. Payment sizes will range from $25,000 to $50,000.

Basic eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be Washington-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations or be fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3)
- Applicants must have provided services prior to March 2020; and are currently providing or plan to provide services through December 2020.
- Applicants must have experienced a negative fiscal impact as a result of COVID-19.
Finalists will be notified of their relief payment by the first week of December 2020. Payment can be expected by mid-December.
