The Childrens Equity Project kicked off its four part equity series last week with its first webinar, entitled : How did we get here? An overview of the causes of Disparities in Child Outcomes, and the Role of Child Serving Systems. The webinar was attended by over 1,500 participants. A recording and handouts will be available next week on the IECMHC.org.website.
The purpose of the Equity in IECMHC Webinar Series is to promote equity through IECMHC by building awareness of the impact of institutional racism and other forms of bias on the experiences of children and families from marginalized communities and identifying policies and strengthening culturally responsive practices that reduce disparities and improve child outcomes.
