Job Description
Skagit Pediatrics LLP is an independent primary care pediatric Medical Home in Mount Vernon, WA (since 1981) with a vibrant and growing integrated pediatric behavioral health (IBH) program since 2018. The clinic is looking to expand its IBH program by adding a second independently licensed master’s level mental health professional (.8 – 1 FTE). Our current behavioral health consultant (BHC) has been providing collaborative psychotherapy and care management to our patients, integrating care with the medical providers using primarily the Collaborative Care Model approach. Our goal is to hire a second BHC to provide increased access to the Collaborative Care Model interventions. In addition, the BHC team will be integral in establishing the Healthy Steps Program at our clinic to focus on the wellbeing of families with children ages zero to three. The BHC’s and an admin support staff will work as members of the overall health care team, interacting directly with the medical providers in a collaborative and consultative role. Online psychiatric consults with a local pediatric psychiatrist will be done weekly. We are looking for new team members who are interested in providing truly integrated behavioral and mental health care in a family centered medical home setting.
