This year, the Early Learning Summit will give you the opportunity to learn about the programs, practices, and data that are most helpful for you at this time. Throughout the day, you will have choices about what sessions to attend based on your current needs and the needs of your students and their families. Breakout session topics may include Transitional Kindergarten Program Development, Supporting Young Dual Language in Learners, Using WaKids Data in Classrooms, Math Parties for Families with Young Children, and Social Emotional Learning in Early Learning Settings, among others. In the afternoon, teams will have the opportunity to do some reflection and planning for their own P-3 systems with the support of the Framework for Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating P-3 Approaches (http://depts.washington.edu/pthru3/PreK-3rd_Framework_11x17.pdf) (Kauerz & Coffman, 2013).
